Please read these terms before using Dexet. They are written to be readable. Where a part is in capitals, that is because the law expects those parts to stand out.
These terms are an agreement between you and DEXET LLC (“Dexet”, “we”, “us”). They cover your use of joindexet.com, the Dexet app and the Dexet browser extension (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
You must be at least 18 to use Dexet. Give us accurate information, keep your login secure, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account. An account is for one person; don’t share it or resell access to it.
Dexet helps you find professionals, see what you have in common, draft personal emails, and send them from your own mailbox. You are the sender. Every email goes out from your account, under your name, after you approve it. Dexet does not send mail on your behalf without that approval.
Dexet is for genuine, one-to-one outreach. You agree not to:
You are responsible for the emails you send and for complying with the laws that apply to them.
The free plan lets you unlock up to 25 people over the life of your account. Paid plans are billed in advance through Stripe, at the price shown when you subscribe, and renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. Taxes may apply.
You can cancel any time from Settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep paid access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Payments are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. If we change a price, we will tell you before it applies to your next renewal.
You own what you put into Dexet: your profile, résumé, drafts and messages. You give us permission to store and process it only to run the Service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having the right to upload it.
Dexet uses AI to draft emails and summarise information, and it builds professional profiles from public sources. AI output can be wrong, and professional information can be out of date or incomplete. For example, a work email may be inferred rather than confirmed, or someone may have changed jobs. Read every draft before you send it. You are responsible for what you send.
Dexet works with services we don’t control, such as Gmail, Outlook, Google, Microsoft and Stripe. Your use of them is governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for their availability or for what they do.
The Service, including its software, design and the data we have compiled, belongs to Dexet and its licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable right to use it under these terms. Nothing else is licensed to you. If you send us feedback, we may use it without owing you anything.
You can stop using Dexet and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if your use puts other people or the Service at risk, or if the law requires it. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you first. Sections 6, 7, 9 and 11 to 14 continue to apply after your account ends.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT PROMISE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE. WE DO NOT PROMISE THAT ANYONE WILL REPLY TO YOU, OR THAT USING DEXET WILL LEAD TO AN INTERVIEW, OFFER OR JOB.
TO THE EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, DEXET WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA OR OPPORTUNITIES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ABOUT THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AND US$50.
You agree to defend and indemnify Dexet against claims brought by third parties that arise from the messages you send, your content, or your breach of these terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Michigan, and you and Dexet both consent to those courts’ jurisdiction.
We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top, and for significant changes we will tell account holders by email or in the app before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Dexet after that means you accept the new terms. Questions: our contact form.
